Congrates to Our VP-Pro new Driver Mr. Joe Chew from UK!

Took a trip down to Herts RC Model Ltd this weekend for some practice and their Winter Round 7!

Joined by fellow northern racers Mick Townsend and Lee Carleton!

Saturday was some valuable open practice time with WIRC UK team members on hand to give some advice and setup tips. Marc and Lewis Jones giving me some excellent tips and helping get the most out of the WIRC Professional RC Cars RTX-1. The VP Pro Frontier Evo tyres and highdown force wing gave me plenty of grip to work with!

Solid days running and plenty learned to take into the race!

Sunday started damp and never really dried up but around 50 drivers turned up including a small number of truggies! I'd spend the day just driving round and trying to stay consistent on the technical Herts track. I'd narrowly miss out on the Truggy TQ to a local due to some less than desirable driving later on in qualifying

At Herts the truggies and e-buggies are bolted on to the back of the last final if there isnt enough for their own heat. So I'd start 11th in the D final.

Countdown and go and the first corner was complete mayhem including a small track cut from myself after getting caught up in the melee, things would settle down and I soon found a bit of a rhythm and thanks to some great pit work from WIRC legend Chaz, I brought it home in 1st, unfortunately they don't allow truggies to bump understandably but I'm pleased with the Truggy win none the less

That's 2 races and 2 wins for the RTX-1, certainly proving itself to be a formidable truck - look forward to more racing and maybe wins over the summer
